Stemonaceae is a family of flowering plants, consisting of three or four genera with between 25-35 species. The APG II system places it in the order Pandanales, in the monocots. The family is native to southeastern Asia and northern Australasia, with one species in North America.

Genera

The placement of the genus Pentastemona is a matter of some controversy; it may or may not form its own family.
