Stefan Reif

Stefan Reif is an academic at the University of Cambridge. He was born in Edinburgh on January 21, 1944.

He has a PhD from University College London and a Doctor of Literature from Cambridge. He holds the following positions at Cambridge:

He was president of the Jewish Historical Society of England in 1991-1992, of the British Association for Jewish Studies in 1992 and of the Cambridge Theological Society in 2002-2004.

He was previously lecturer in Hebrew and Semitics at the University of Glasgow, 1968-1972 then assistant professor of Hebrew at Dropsie College, 1972-1973.
