Steerpike (band)

Steerpike were a band of small but relative merit in Norwich in the early 1990's, The band came into existence in 1992 gigged in the area and London, produced several demos and appeared performing "Acrobatic Man"on "Backwater One" a 12 inch single featuring 4 bands namely Ivy, Spellbound and The Lemongrowers on Noisebox Records, a Norwich label run by Pete Morgan, who is currently one third of Burning Shed. This resulted in radio plays on both the evening session with Mark Goodier and the late great John Peel show. The band also contributed "Hysteria" to "Now that's what I call Noisebox" a compilation of artists that had appeared on the Noisebox record label, and had interest from several record labels such as "dead good"

The Band eventuallly split in 1994, after various problems emerged within the line-up
