Steel Tec

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Steel Tec is a metal construction set similar to Meccano. It used a combination of metal and plastic parts held together by metal screws.

It was manufactured in China by the Azrak Hamway International, Inc. from 1992 to 1997. The rights are currently held by JAKKS Pacific, Inc.

Unlike Meccano (up until recently), the screws did not use a regular screwdriver, but an allen key. Sometimes the manufacturing tolerances were not good, and the screws were hard to use.
