Steeden

Steeden is an Australian sports good manufacturer, best known for producing rugby league footballs.
Steeden is the Official Ball of the National Rugby League (NRL), Rugby League State of Origin, Kangaroos National Team, New South Wales Rugby League, Queensland Rugby League, Rugby Football League, Super League and the Australian Touch Association.
Steeden has become so synonymous with Rugby League that the word used as noun to describe the ball itself.

The Steeden brand was established in Queensland in 1958.
Ray Steeden started a factory to produce leather cricket balls, rugby league footballs and boxing bags. The company moved to New South Wales in the 1960s.
It was acquired by Gray-Nicolls Sports in 1995.
