[edit] The Coup in 1948
A lot of this article is extremely subjective, and somewhat disillusioned - there was no coup in 1948: The Communist Party was elected democratically by the majority of the people. Whilst one can argue that perhaps the StB played a role in securing communist sympathy, it is very narrow minded to refer to it as a coup.
Please tell me if you feel the same way, I think the article is in need of a general re-write.
Attempted rewrite
What I've done is for starters. The StB 'dead student' caper needs verifying, as I'm at risk of original research - cos I can't remember the magazine i read the interview in.
The notion of a coup is part of the cultural mythology, and - yes - it should be corrected.
The diacritics are fine!
My Czech isn't that fluent, but I'll get back to this ASAP. --TresRoque 22:44, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] STB -> StB
The article should be moved to StB (Czechoslovak State Security). The all uppercase letters was never used by them and I do not see the STB form anywhere else online. Pavel Vozenilek 22:29, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
