[edit] Speedy deletion of Hong Chenchou

A tag has been placed on Hong Chenchou requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] complaint

Could you be more specific? It makes it much easier to focus on the problem. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 04:27, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding reversions[1] made on January 19, 2008 to Marshal of the Soviet Union

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.

  • Hi, I have looked into the history of the article and it looks like you are editwarring agaings pretty much everybody else. Please try to achieve a consensus on the talk page rather than edit war. IMHO, the question whether Joseph Stalin was a pure political MotSU or a Political/Army one does not deserve such a persistent edit warring Alex Bakharev (talk) 05:31, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Wu Xiang (Ming General)

An editor has nominated Wu Xiang (Ming General), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wu Xiang (Ming General) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:29, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop the moves

Please stop moving articles from page to page, and please use valid edit summaries when you do move a page. Corvus cornixtalk 00:52, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Staygyro. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Corvus cornixtalk 00:54, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Do it by creating #REDIRECT pages, not by multiple moves. Corvus cornixtalk 03:41, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

In regards to your last post to ANI, if you ever want a page deleted that only you have ever edited, you can place on it the following text: {{db-author}} and an admin will soon come and delete it. Someguy1221 (talk) 04:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Browning BAR

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Browning BAR, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 05:02, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] please stop the move

I noticed that you moved James Soong to Soong Chuyu and then cut and paste the its content to Song Chuyu. This violates two Wikipedia's policies: 1) article should use common name, which in this case should be James Soong; 2) don't rename a page by cut and paste. I have requested to move Soong Chuyu back to James Soong. You may discuss at Talk:Soong Chuyu. Thank you for your understanding. --Neo-Jay (talk) 14:31, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:17, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Matt Morris (entrepreneur)

A tag has been placed on Matt Morris (entrepreneur) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DGG (talk) 16:27, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
