[edit] Alien Technology Deletion

StanMan: What exactly would need to be changed IYHO, to make Alien Technology comply? What prompted you to suggest deletion out of all the articles on Wiki? The company has over $300 Million in liquid assets and over $600 Million total equity, is going to be the first full solutions company in the RFID industry traded on wallstreet, and the major partner for the DoD and Walmart RFID pushes. But don't take my word for it... Here is the S-1 Filing for Alien that tells all about their company. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1350415/000119312506079679/ds1.htm

Bschott, Wiki is like an Encyclopedia - you need to explain why is the company is notable. People do not like advertisments here and the S-1 filing you've indicated here is nothing impressive as it was written by the company itself. Please learn the rules in Wiki before you add comments. By the way, how are you related to them?

StanMan 22:01, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Well StanMan, I don't own nor make any decisions for Alien nor am I in management. If a person works for a company, I see no reason why they couldn't make sure the information on wiki is at least correct. If you worked for Microsoft and saw an error on their page, you have to let it go because you work for that company? Sorry, but that is just plain silly. I can understand if there was bias there, but making sure that the product list was up to date, or the new facilities/company office locations are included, or adding relevent information about the company's IPO status...I don't see how that is bias.
I'll admit I work at a very low/entery level office position, but I have nothing to do with management nor decision making. Just very proud of the company and want to now make sure the information on the page is correct, Factual, and Verifiable.
I want to point out the Alien page was made on 23:41, 21 July 2003 by IP 208.201.196.175. I started working for them in 2004 and my first edit of the company page was at 02:58, 14 July 2006. I hadn't even heard about them as a company until a week before I was interviewed. Please tell me how that is a violation of anything as I haven't made or been involved with the page until just recently? Again, why you are so hell bent on having Alien removed and slandering my name? What is it that makes you so rabid about the topic? It's pretty obvious at this point, your request for deletion is going to fail, so why are you still so up in arms about this?--Bschott 00:55, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
. "Following the concensus here - If article cleaned up, willing to reconsider. - StanMan 14:27, 15 July 2006 (UTC)" Reconsider? Well, if the vote is for keeping, then the article stays even if you don't 'reconsider'.--Bschott 21:30, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Don't take my name in vain

If you wish to post aggressive messages to other editors you are welcome to do that. (Insofar as anyone is welcome to do so, which is not terribly much. But I digress.) However, I will be rather unhappy if you continue to do so while using my name to support your position. If you think so highly of me, you will find it disappointing to hear my name being used as you are using it, but against you instead, after I have voiced my disagreement with some action you've taken.

Also: You are not an admin. Threatening other editors with blocking is beyond your authority. Similarly, it is Not Done to issue a "last warning" without ever giving a third warning, let alone never giving a second or first. You can bring the actions of an editor to the attention of administrators at the Wikipedia:Administrator's Noticeboard, but be aware that frivolous accusations are not look upon well. — Saxifrage 00:26, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
