[edit] Hello
Hi I'm new to Wikipedia so I don't know if this is the correct way to send a message but here goes: I saw that you created most of the article on Microsoft Photosynth. It still says the software will be released at the end of 2006. Can this be updated...? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ali.seaton (talk • contribs) 23:48, 25 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Abreu / Philmanac
Out of curiosity, how did you know the correct information? I'm interested in improving Wikipedia's Philmont articles, and I'd really like an accurate resource, especially if Philmanac is untrustworthy. Regards — Dan | talk 06:02, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] PhilWiki
That sounds like a great idea!! Lot's of people know about Philmont, but not about the whole Philmont WikiProject and everything. If we spread the word then I'm sure we can find the information we're seeking. Additionally, I agree that much about Philmont is unencyclopedic but worthy of a wiki. The information on the Internet currently about Philmont is minimal to say the least. I'm not sure where to host the PhilWiki though. Great ideas, let's keep in touch and work togehter to develop this idea. Keep up the good work! Dustimagic *\o/* (talk/contribs) *\o/* 19:38, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree WikiCities looks like the way to go. I've been doing a little research on wikis and I have to agree, plus I like the MediaWiki software. Dustimagic *\o/* (talk/contribs) *\o/* 22:28, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

- It probably is a good idea to start off slow and everything. We need to somewhat promote PhilWiki to find people that we can trust to build the initial core of the Wiki. Go ahead and start the title up, however, not on WikiCities but on another wiki there is a wiki called PhilWiki dealing with something about the Phillipines. Keep me posted. Dustimagic *\o/* (talk/contribs) *\o/* 18:55, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Very good proposal! There is so much information about Philmont that should be made available and with all the people who've experianced Philmont, the user base / number of potential contributors is promising. If you need help getting this started, let me know. --L1AM 12:15, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'd love to come by and help. I'm afraid though that I won't be able to commit as much time and effort into it as I once thought. I will try to help as much as I can please accept my apologies. ¡Dustimagic! (T/C) 02:35, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sears Tower
Please don't change the world's tallest building infobox. The infobox states, "Fully habitable, self-supported, from main entrance to rooftop; see World's tallest structures for other listings." By these criteria, the Petronas Towers are not the tallest. For more discussion, see the Sears Tower and World's tallest structures talk pages. Thanks. -Quasipalm 17:16, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Grendel

[edit] Get a mac issue
Hi, sorry about that, I should have written a more elaborated reason.
[edit] License tagging for Image:YCBA interior2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:YCBA interior2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:11, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AMNH tour
We need to get a preliminary head-count for the AMNH tour happening before the meet-up. If you think you would like to go, please sign up at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC#AMHN tour sign-up. Thanks! ScienceApologist (talk) 03:01, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vote for a post-meetup restaurant
I'm charged with making the reservations for us, so let's make it official. We'll do this via voting and everyone including anonymous voters, sockpuppets, and canvassed supporters is enfranchised. Voting irregularities and election fraud are encouraged as that would be really amusing in this instance. Please vote for whichever restaurant you would like to eat at given the information provided above and your own personal prejudices at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC#Let's make it official. The prevailing restaurant will be called first for the reservation. If a reservation cannot be obtained at the winning restaurant, the runner-up restaurant will be called thus making this entire process pointless. Voting ends 24 hours after this timestamp (because I said so). ScienceApologist (talk) 17:19, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] You are invited!
New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, and have salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).
Well also make preparations for our exciting Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, a free content photography contest for Columbia University students planned for Friday March 28 (about 2 weeks after our meeting).
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
You're also invited to subscribe to the public Wikimedia New York City mailing list, which is a great way to receive timely updates.
