[edit] Biography
I was born Gorgas hospital in the then-US operated Panama Canal Zone. My father was a career US Army officer stationed there. We lived in several different states before finally settling down in Northern Virginia. I graduated from Langley High School in McLean, VA and then from the US Naval Academy. Following graduation, I married Stacey and was assigned to the USS CHANDLER (DDG-996) for three years and then went to Monterey, CA and attended the Naval Postgraduate School where I received a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Since that time I've been involved in the development, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and operation of various C5I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat systems, and Intelligence) systems in the US Navy and across the Department of Defense. During this time I earned a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University. I am currently stationed in the Washington Navy Yard working for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
