[edit] Contested move request
From WP:RM:
- Stavros Xarchakos → Stavros Xarhakos — different spelling, both articles exist, the first one contains more information —Atavi 10:48, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Why should it be moved in that direction? Surely χ is normally transliterated as "ch", not "h", which is also in line with the EU page cited by the article. The better solution (which I shall pursue presently) is to redirect the latter to the former. --Stemonitis 14:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Either way, there should be a history merge of the two articles. There are now 2 articles about the same person. One with history from 16 October 2004 to 21 June 2007 and the other one from 21 June 2007 to the present. I just put the {{db-histmerge}} tag on this page. Once the two histories are merged together, the article can have either name after discussion. --Scott Alter 00:36, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I agree with you that the standard spelling is Xarchakos. It was accidental to say the converse. --Atavi 11:06, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
