Some have argued it is inappropriate to post the political party of someone in an appointed position such as attorney general. Why not?69.6.162.160 16:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Brian Pearson

[edit] stub class

What is the status of this article? Is it a stub? Can we go to more detail into how the office of attorney general gets filled?

The article does say that it is different in states and says what the possible ways are but does not go into detail of what happens in which state. I think this detail is important since we have a detailed treatment of the name of the party in the office in each state.
