I started this page after reading a news article talking about President Bush poking fun at Los Angeles Times reporter Peter Wallsten, who has the disease. [1]

I did a bit of expansion, but it still has a long way to go; I'm going to leave the expand tag. I included the bit about Bush in the article. --Varco 21:12, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

My wife also has it, we have a 10 year old daughter that has no signs of the disease, and she has an 18 year old son from a prior marriage that also shows no signs of Stargardts.
