This article seems to be written to cause readers to unfavorably view Duval. Some rulings are listed, but are they the most notable rulings by him or are they just the ones selected by a contributor to cause readers to dislike Duval? --HResearcher 21:06, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

• Judge Duval's reasoning, however, was unanimously reversed by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans on April 13, 2005.^{[citation needed]}
• The judge became an object of political consideration in the 2003 gubernatorial campaign, when the unsuccessful Republican candidate, Bobby L. Jindal, lashed out at "liberal" judges without calling Duval by name.^{[citation needed]}
