Talk:Stanstead (electoral district)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Here is way I reverted Esteffect's edits:
- Stanstead does not exist, so "was a federal electoral district" works perfectly well: the past tense is commonly used to describe something that existed in the past. "Is a former" is a different, les direct way of saying that. "Stanstead electoral district" is no longer anyting -- it does not exist.
- The Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers)#Usage of links for date preferences says that we should not link years, unless they are part opf a complete date, when it is done to enable user date format preference.
- Stanstead was never active in the House of Commons. It was an inanimate object. The electoral district was a chunk of territory outlined on a map that just sat there quite oblivious to the fact that it was represented in the House of Commons.
