Stanley Zbornak is a very identifiable Polish name, it leaves no doubts about its ethnic origin. Zbornak should be spelled Zborniak, a surname unique and fairly common to the Poles. No problem there, as a very desireable (except for his womanizing ways) TV Polish-American character named Thomas Banacek should have been spelled Banaczak or Banaczek (Banacek is Czech). Stan was at one time the most popular Christian name for Polish males. Being Roman Catholic, Poles loved to name their boys after Saint Stanislaw (Stanislaus).
