Talk:Stanley Kubrick/to do

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

  • Establish SK’s cultural significance.
    • Provide evidence that the films are ”considered classics of 20th century cinema”, i.e. cite polls by Sight & Sound and other respected film magazines, etc.
  • Streamline and improve the prose.
    • I suggest we start at the top, and work downwards following SK’s life chronologically.
    • Any new biographical morsels should be added to ”Trivia” (a temporary storehouse) instead of prying a place for them in the main text. If, on the other hand, you have substantial material to add, feel free to edit the content accordingly.
      • Keep anecdotal (happenings on film sets) and interpretive (theories about the films) comments to a minimum: the interested reader can always go to the relevant film page for more information (at least in the future).
  • Expand ”Tabloid rumors” so that the section discusses all aspects of the ”Kubrick myth”: the origins, propagation and debunking of the rumors, and so on.
  • Add a few more images: screen captures from the films, poster artwork, etc. Discuss your choices before adding them to the page.
  • Try to provide citations for the information presented in the article
