[edit] "Third generation"

Sakai says he is third-generation in interviews. This makes little sense for people who are acquainted with "first generation" being born elsewhere and moving to the US (or where have you). Seems like he's using "third-generation" as a synonym for sansei, which represents the offspring of a nisei parent (regardless of place of birth). I have linked this.
