==Stalagmite
I find these things fascinating, and I hope someone with expert knowledge does some more work on this article. How about some photos? What about timespans? Oldest stalagmite? Largest stalagmite? User:Palefire
I wonder if Stalagmite should redirect to stalactite, seeing as they are formed by the same process, and this article seems to mostly consist of explaining the difference between the two. Sfnhltb 07:30, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Is it really encyclopaedia content to have a list of mnemonics? --5telios 10:05, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
The list of mnemonics were unnecessary and frankly embarrassing. Hence I removed it. Truetyper (talk) 23:40, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Stalagmites in my freezer
Is it known to have these in your ice cubes at home? Just check these out...

Wow I've never seen ice cubes do that before. I would imagine you had some sort of re-freezing going on in there. Most likely a series of humid days.
[edit] Questions
How long would a stalagmite several feet long take to form? What about a soda straw of a similar length? 89.240.202.53 21:39, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
