Stawley is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated ten miles west of Taunton in the Taunton Deane district. The parish has a population of 305[2] and includes the hamlet of Appley.

The village was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086.

The village church register dates from 1528.

The soil consists of clay, with a subsoil of sandstone and limestone. The village has a high density of rare flora and fauna, including 8 species of endangered birds.
