Staunton, Gloucestershire

Staunton, Gloucestershire is two different villages in the Forest of Dean in west Gloucestershire, England.
This entry is for the one near Coleford, The other is on the A417 7 Miles north of Gloucester, which does not yet have an entry.

Staunton is located three miles north east of Monmouth and four miles north west of Coleford.

Staunton is known for being surrounded by stones such as the Buckstone, the Suckstone [1] and the Near Hearkening Rock [2], and is the first village in the Forest of Dean when approached from Wales and the ancient Kingdom of Gwent, sited high above Monmouth and the River Wye and the English Welsh border and Offa's Dyke Path pass close to the village.
The pub is the White Horse Inn. The village church is All Saints [3].
