The State of Somaliland was a short lived independent state in the Horn of Africa that existed from independence form the United Kingdom on 26 June 1960 to integration into the Somali Republic on 1 July 1960. Muhammad Haji Ibrahim Egal was its only Prime Minister and also served as de facto head of state.
