- This article is about the orchestra known in Soviet times as the USSR Ministry of Culture Symphony Orchestra. For the orchestra known in Soviet times as the USSR State Symphony Orchestra, see State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Federation.
The State Symphony Capella of Russia comprises an orchestra and choir, both based in Moscow, Russia. Its principal conductor is Valery Polyansky. It was formed in 1991 by merging the former USSR Ministry of Culture Symphony Orchestra with the USSR State Chamber Choir. It is sometimes known as the Russian State Symphony Orchestra.
