The classic SF role-playing game Traveller was released in the summer of 1977, very close to the release of the original Star Wars movie. As a consequence, some of the original designers have remarked that for them the game and the movie were very similar, despite the fact that Traveller is generally considered to have a more Golden Age SF feel to it. Traveller Supplement 4: Citizens of the Imperiumincluded game statistics for Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in it as sample characters.
