Stapleton is an independent rock band who come from Glasgow. They formed in April 1997 and have released three albums and two EPs. The have to date played over 300 shows. They are signed to Xtra Mile Recordings in the UK, and This Time Records in Japan. The band consist for Andrew Cook (Guitar & Vocals), Gordon Farquhar (Drums & Percussion), Alistair Paxton (Vocals & Guitar) and Nico Weststeijn (Bass).

Members of Stapleton are also active with other bands. These include Metronomes, Avast! and Elements Of The Seventies.

Stapleton have so far released four albums. Third album Hug The Coast was described as "intelligent, well-crafted subtle rock songs" by TinyVoices.[1]

The band have received airplay on BBC Radio 1 from the likes of John Peel and Huw Stephens and have toured with the likes of Hundred Reasons, Idlewild and Statistics.[2]

Stapleton will release their fourth album Rest and be Thankful on May 12th, 2008 on Xtra Mile Recordings.
