Stanway House is an example of a Jacobean manor house, owned by Tewkesbury Abbey for 800 years then for 500 years by the Tracy family and their descendants, the Earls of Wemyss.

It is located near Stanway, Gloucestershire, in the south-west of the English Midlands.

Stanway is also home to the Stanway Fountain, the tallest in the European Economic Union. It is also the highest gravity fountain in the entire world. The fountain is rumoured to be so powerful that in January 2007 a guest to the manor was hospitalised, caught nozzle-straddling at the time of an eruption. The fountain is operated by remote control.
