Stanton under Bardon

Stanton-under-Bardon is a village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 633.[1] The village is situated near junction 22 of the M1 motorway, close to Markfield, which Stanton is often classed as part of, despite the distance between the two villages, which share a local newspaper, the Markfield and Stanton Under Bardon Herald. The village has a thatched pub, Post Office, two churches and a primary school.
