Stanstead, Suffolk

Stanstead is a village and civil parish in Suffolk, England. Located off the B1066, it is around 4 miles from Sudbury, and is part of Babergh district. The parish contains the Kentwell Woods SSSI and the Stanstead Great Wood wildlife site. In 2001 it had a population of 316.
The name Stanstead comes from the Old English for "Stony place".
