Stannate

The stannate ion is SnO32− or Sn(OH)62−.
A stannate (compound) is a compound containing this ion. Dehydrated forms may correspond to SnO32−; they may be hydrated to show the form Sn(OH)62−. For example, sodium stannate may be found as Na2SnO3 or Na2SnO3.3H2O.
