Stanford Talisman

Stanford Talisman is a coed collegiate a cappella group from Stanford University in California which is musically rooted in a culturally diverse repertoire that focuses on African and African-American influences.[1] Founded in 1989, the group won the 1997 ICCA competition [2] and has performed at the 1996 Olympic Games and the White House. [3]

Talisman has released seven full-length albums as well as a ten-year anniversary compilation entitled Shine. The group was featured on the 1997 Best of Collegiate A Cappella compilation [4], and has received recognition from CARA, most recently in 2004, winning "Mixed-Group Album of the Year" for Watch Me Fly. [5]
