"Stand Up for Love" was the first single from Destiny's Child's greatest hits album, #1's. Released in 2005, the single became Destiny's Child's first single to fail to chart in the United States. The song was the final Destiny's Child single, although another new song from the album, "Check on It" (a solo Beyoncé Knowles song) was released.

[edit] History
The song was written by David Foster and his daughter, Amy Foster-Gillies. The inspirational song has been hyped for its message of hope in the wake of Hurricane Katrina (although written before it happened). The song has also been touted as the 2005 World Children's Day Anthem.
[edit] Chart performance
Although it was solicited to radio in late September 2005, the single failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 or any other major chart. The song initially received airplay support from New York City's Z-100, but few other radio stations in the United States picked it up.
