Stahleck Castle

Stahleck Castle (Burg Stahleck) is a 12th century castle near Bacharach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
It was built on the orders of the archbishop of Cologne and occupies a commanding view of the Rhine in the Lorelei valley.
It was destroyed in the late 17th century, but was rebuilt in the early 20th century and is now a hostel.
