StagKnight is a black comedy horror film by Simon Cathcart and Robert Mercer. The movie combines the surreal humour of Cathcart's previous satirical cinematic outing, Black Velvet, with the thrills and spills of the serial killer genre to create an experience by turns deeply disturbing and outrageously comedic. The picture is set in a woodland retreat just outside of London, England, where paintballing team the 'Weekend Warriors' intend to celebrate the marital engagement of one of their members. However, deep within the forest, an ancient warrior preserved from the time of King Arthur has awoken and begins to hunt them down one by one. The film is currently in post-production and awaiting a distribution date in UK and U.S. cinemas. However, after largely negetive responses from preview audiences, the film is likely to be shelved.
