Stadium truck

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A stadium truck is a small, off-road radio-controlled car, either rear wheel drive or four wheel drive and primarily intended for racing.

Most manufacturers' stadium trucks, whether electric or internal combustion, are based on existing buggy designs and accept all of the same upgrades. Despite the extra unsprung weight of the larger wheels and tires, stadium trucks are among the most popular RC vehicles both with drivers and spectators.

The name is derived from their full-scale counterparts, designed to run on a temporary offroad track built on a stadium field, much like stadium-based motocross racing and exhibition.
