Stacy Leeds

Stacy Leeds is a Law professor and former Cherokee Supreme Court Justice. She is also a candidate for Cherokee chief. [1] The Cherokee Nation election will be held in June of 2007.
Leeds has worked for the Native American Rights Fund and also as a tribal consultant for many tribes.
In 2006 Leeds received the Clyde Ferguson Award for Outstanding Law Professor. She grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and currently lives with her husband, Michael, near Tahlequah.
