[edit] Biography
DuPree was born in The Woodlands, Texas to Boyd Weston DuPree and Kimberly Kay DuPree. She grew up surrounded by music.[citation needed] Stacy has five brothers and sisters: Chauntelle, Sherri, Weston, Christie and Collin, three of whom (Chauntelle, Sherri and Weston) also are members of Eisley. The band is completed by cousin Garron DuPree.
Stacy wrote her first song (Michael's Song) when she was eight years old, and the band's debut label release, 2003's Laughing City EP, released on the Warner Brothers' Imprint Record Collection came out when she was 14 years old.
[edit] Contributions and collaborations
Along with her sister, Sherri, Stacy contributed vocals to the band Head Automatica's 2004 album "Decadence", on the song "Dance Party Plus". Although Stacy's name does not appear in the album credits, lead singer Daryl Palumbo thanked both girls in the liner notes, accidentally misspelling their names as "Staci and Sheri".
Stacy also contributed vocals to the album Sun, Sun, Sun by The Elected, a band fronted by Rilo Kiley's Blake Sennett, who had previously supported Eisley on their "Winter West" tour. Stacy's vocals appear on the songs "Clouds Parting (8:41 a.m.)" and "I'll Be Your Man".
Sherri and Stacy contributed vocals to the track "Unglued" by Aaron Sprinkle's band Fair for their first album, and during their headlining tour they came out and sang with Fair during this song.
Stacy has also contributed vocals to the Coming Home album by New Found Glory (along with Sherri, Chauntelle, and little sister Christie).
Stacy and Sherri contributed vocals to many songs on the album Cassadaga by Bright Eyes while in Malibu for the recording of their second full-length.

- "I tend to think we're missing the core. The womb of music. We need it all. Yet we think of music as racks, rows, parts.....and it is those things to some degree, but we need more spirit in music these days, more of that fluid. That fire."
- "That's what people tell me. They're like, 'Don't learn theory,' because then you make little squares or whatever. But none of us have learned any theory." Keyboard magazine, March 2006 issue
