Stacey Carosi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stacey Carosi was a temporarily major character on Saved by the Bell, lasting for only 6 episodes of the series run during its third season, yet remaining fairly memorable due to her identification with its classic "Malibu Sands Era". She worked for her father, Leon Carosi at the aforementioned Malibu Sands beach resort in some sort of executive staff function, showing authority over some of the other "SBTB Gang" members. Zack Morris was quickly smitten with her, and was disappointingly shocked to learn that she was the daughter of the man he had already, quickly, clashed with. Throughout the run of her stint on the show she and Zack progressed from flirtation to sometimes hostility to eventually romance, marked by their kiss under the fireworks during the Fourth of July celebration.

It is often hypothesized, in Saved by the Bell cult fan groups, that Zack lost his his virginity to Stacey.

Stacey was played by future King of Queens star Leah Remini, and it was Remini's first taste of very international large exposure.

[edit] Confusion between Stacey and Tori Scott

Very casual viewers of the series may confuse her with Tori Scott, who was another tough girl, brunette, Zack Morris love interest, appearing in a brief amount of consecutive episodes as a major character, in the latter part of the series. Particularly since many of the Tori episodes and many of the Malibu Sands episodes were first broadcast on the same days. The Malibu Sands summer run takes place chronologically in between grades 11 (Junior Year) and 12 (Senior Year) for the gang, but the Grade 11 school episodes and the Malibu Sands summer run were filmed and aired around the same time.
