Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (Paramount Pictures, 1991) is the sixth feature film based on the popular Star Trek science fiction television series. It is often referred to as ST6:TUC or TUC. It is the last of the films based solely on the original series cast and it presents their final mission together - to negotiate peace with the Klingons. The name is from Shakespeare (Hamlet's third soliloquy on what comes after death) leading the Klingons to joke that Shakespeare is better in the original Klingon.
The plot revolves around the Klingon Empire's attempts to make peace with the Federation after the destruction of the moon Praxis reaps devastation on their homeworld. The Federation send the USS Enterprise to host diplomatic talks, something that upsets the ships current captain, James T. Kirk, who lost his son in a battle with the Klingons and cannot forgive them for this.
Things do not go well. Distrust on both sides (including a brawl brought on by too much Romulan ale) initially mars proceedings, and the Federation is framed when the Enterprise seems to fire on the Klingon delegation's Bird of Prey...
