Purpose of use

This logo, which is used in the article "The Stanford Daily", helps the reader identify the publication, which features the logo prominently in its masthead.
Replaceable?

The logo is primarily seen in the publication's masthead; a photograph of a Daily issue would also fall under the publication's copyright, so this image cannot reasonably be replaced by a free content image. If the tagline isn't so important after all, this image could be used instead.
