It does not cover entities proclaimed by resistance movements in occupied or non-occupied territories based on religious, cultural, social, political, economic or military arguments which are covered by the category Temporary states of World War II.
For clarity use the following definitions to identify article categorisation
- Country denotes a geographical area.
- Nation denotes a people who are believed to or deemed to share common customs, origins, and history. However, the adjectives national and international also refer to matters pertaining to what are strictly states, as in national capital, international law.
- State refers to the set of governing institutions that has sovereignty over a definite territory that may include several formerly independent nations, such as Germany.
