St Mary High School is a secondary school located in the St Mary area of Highgate, in Jamaica.
St Mary High School is a traditional high school, for grades 7 to 13. It has a mixed racial makeup, the largest minority race being East-Indian. The school was the National Schools' Debate champion in 1997 and 1998. In common with all state-run Jamaican secondary schools, St. Mary High uses a selection process to accept students at the grade seven level. Students from primary and preparatory schools can attempt to gain a place by sitting the GSAT Examination, formerly the Common Entrance Examination, and the Grade Nine Achievement test.
Uniform is worn, which for girls is a green tunic with white blouse, and for boys khaki pants and shirt. The school motto is "Faith and Courage".
