[edit] History

Since August 2005, St Margaret's is the only remaining school in the North of Scotland that caters exclusively to girls' education.

Situated on Albyn Place in the West End of Aberdeen, it has been open for over 150 years. Originally it offered boarding and day school, however for many years now it has only offered day school teaching. It is one of several independent schools in the city, including Albyn School and Robert Gordon's College.

Both the pupils and teachers are put into houses. There are three houses named after local castles: Crathes (red), Dunnottar (green) and Kildrummy (blue).
