St John's Road East

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

St John's Road East (Irish: Bóthar Eoin Thoir) intersects Park Avenue and connects it with Strand Road in Sandymount, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The street is residential and divided into two parts by Park Avenue at the Church of Saint John, from which the road takes its name. At the eastern end is the Sandymount Martello Tower and Sandymount Strand. The church stands on its' own traffic island and the western part of the road consists of new housing built during the 1980s on the site of former allotments.

The street does not connect with St John's Road, West, a section of the N4 road near Heuston Station.
