St George's School, Hong Kong

St. George's School in Hong Kong was a school for the children of British Forces and Civil Servants serving in Hong Kong at the time.

  • The school employed a house system consisting of Windsor, Balmoral, Sandringham and Osbourne houses, although in the early 1960s there was Buckingham house.
  • The school opened in 1955 and closed in 1996, 41 years after its opening.
  • The school was originally located at Minden Barracks, Kowloon before being moved to its more well known address in Norfolk Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong (BFPO1).
  • The school has a very active 'alumni' website.
