[edit] History
It was established by Anglican missionaries around 1907.
An art school flourished during the early colonial Rhodesian era, the results of which include prominent sculptors like the legendary Job Kekkana. It was one of the few non government secondary schools in the 1940s. Pupils included Edgar Tekere, Maurice Nyagumbo, D. Mutasa, and B. Nyabadza of Munzungu Mune Mari. The secondary school was established in 1967 as one of the very few non government secondary schools that accepted blacks. Forms 5 and 6 were introduced in 1987.
The school is considered one of the most reputable in this now impoverished country with the Anglican School Association claiming it to be the second best.
