St Crispin Street Fair

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The St Crispin Street Fair is an annual fun fair held in town centre streets of Northampton, England.

The fair is organised by Northampton Borough Council and has taken place since 1993. Over 100 amusement rides operate from 10:30am to 10:30pm on the Monday and Tuesday of the October half-term school holiday.

Attractions are located in Abington Street, Drapery, Gold Street, Mercer's Row and Wood Hill as well as the market square (which dates from 1235 and is claimed to be the largest in Britain).

However the council of Northampton has since cancelled the street fair. The last St Crispins Street Fair was held in October of 2004.
