St Clement, Cornwall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

St Clement civil parish and village in the Carrick district of Cornwall, in the United Kingdom.

St Clement is a popular tourist village . Aside from the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside the principal attraction of St Clement to visitors is the village's church and its associated conservation projects that are maintained by members of the local community.

The village is rare in that, despite its close proximity to Truro, the county's administrative centre, the village itself has scarcely changed in comparison to many similar locations in the area.[citation needed]

Despite the fact it lacks a ‘local shop for local people’, its small size and litigious residents have led to St Clement being dubbed the Royston Vasey of Cornwall, in reference to the BBC comedy series The League of Gentlemen.[citation needed]
