[edit] Service
The station is a request stop - if nobody requests that the train or bus stops then it will not do so. Currently, there is generally an hourly service eastbound to Bristol and northbound to Severn Beach with no service on Sundays.
From Sunday 18 May 2008 an improved service will be offered on the line[2]. Trains will start earlier in the morning and finish later in the evening, with three trains in every 2-hour cycle during the daytime. This will increase turnaround time, so the timetable should be more reliable.
This will have the unfortunate side-effect of services from St Andrews Road being reduced overall, with only one train each way every two hours Mondays to Fridays, as opposed to the current service provided by a bus every hour connecting with every train. The bus continues to run on Saturdays and alternates with the train to provide an hourly service overall. There will still be no trains from St. Andrews Road station on Sundays, although they will run from Avonmouth towards Bristol until September.
