Saint Andrews Football Club are a football club based in Leicestershire, England. They joined the Leicestershire Senior League Division One in 1985. In the 1994-95 season, they reached the 5th round of the FA Vase. For the 2007-08 season, they are members of the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division. In recent seasons, the club has not had much success, apart from the under 18's side of 2005/2006, which won the Leicestershire Midweek Youth League, Pukka Pies League Cup, and came runners up in the county cup, to a strong Oadby Town side. They only lost 1 game all season, winning the rest and drawing one. Alex Johnson received international honours at England Schoolboy level, and 6 other members of the side represented Leicestershire at county level. In 2006/2007, the club has had a slow start to the season with under 18's manager Martin Wilson taking over from Andy Hollis at the helm in October. Since then, results have been picking up, and the young side is showing signs of progression and are maturing as a unit.

They should not be confused with St Andrews F.C. of the Anglian Combination.

[edit] Ground

The first team and reserves currently play at Canal Street, Aylestone, Leicester. The ground has 3 full size pitches and the main pitch is reputed to be one of the best pitches in the county.

[edit] Honours

The Andrews are 3-time champions of the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division, winning the titles in 1989/90, 1993/94 and of most recent, 1995/96. The club could not be promoted to the Midland Alliance due to the Leicestershire Senior League at the time, not being in the football league pyramid.

The club have beaten Leicester City on several occations, most of the time in the Westerby Cup. However, St Andrews have only won the cup once in 1997.
