[edit] Save this article

They were founded in 1937, but no mention of any history pre '99? If I knew the first thing about the Rams I could improve this in a second... someone please save this article. zellin 21:47, Jun 2, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Improvement drive

National Football League is currently a candidate on WP:IDRIVE. Vote for it if you are interested in contributing.--Fenice 20:04, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Joe Vitt

Should Joe Vitt be considered an official head coach of the Rams? He wasn't even truly an interim coach. He was an ACTING coach while Mike Martz was on a leave of absence with a legitimate health problem, and Martz did not officially lose his title of Head Coach until the end of the season. - 66.93.144.171 09:21, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Page 205 of the Official 2006 NFL Record and Fact Book does list Vitt along with the other official head coaches of the Rams. There is also an asterick that does indicate that Martz took medical leave after 5 games in 2005. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 14:52, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Technically, though, Martz wasn't fired until January 2, 2006, the day after the Rams final game of the season. See NFL.com story. I think the asterisk explaining the situation should stay, as well as an (acting) denotation after Vitt's name. --Vicjm 17:10, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] References

New England Patriots is the only featured NFL team article. One major part that is missing from the St. Louis Rams article and the Patriots' is the lack of references. I tried to verify what I could. I placed a tag on the article in the hopes that more information being cited. --Pinkkeith 11:14, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Team Awards

I added the Team MVP awards which I got from the Rams 1997 Media Guide (the most current copy I have). Information after 1997 I found by web crawling. If someone has information on the data that is missing, please add it. The Rams also give out an award for the best rookie of the year. I'm going to add that list as well. --Pinkkeith 14:03, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Moved to St Louis Rams statistics --Pinkkeith 16:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

The awards have since moved to St Louis Rams awards --Pinkkeith (talk) 17:28, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Split

I would like to see the history section get its own article History of the St. Louis Rams similar to History of the Chicago Bears and History of the New England Patriots --Pinkkeith 18:22, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

I would like to see the season-by-season record list moved to St. Louis Rams seasons similar to some of the other team pages. --Pinkkeith 13:26, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] For the record

I've heard the Rams set a record for most 30-point games in 1 season. How many? What year? Trekphiler 10:08, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Looks like the Rams had most consecutive 30-point games (14) during 2000.[1] Zzyzx11 (Talk) 15:02, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fearsome Foursome

What is the name of the fearsome foursome? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.152.150.164 (talk • contribs)

[edit] 1979 championship

The rams have three nfc championships not two

1979 — NFL Champions Rams defeated Cowboys 21-19 in Dallas in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game on Dec. 30. Rams defeated Buccaneers 9-0 in Tampa for the NFC Championship on Jan 6, 1980. Rams lost to Steelers 31-19 in Superbowl XIV on Jan. 20, 1980.

I currently do not see anything wrong with the article. Therefore, I assume you misread the sentence in the first paragraph where it says "The team has won two NFL Championships and one Super Bowl.". That sentence is regarding the 1945 NFL league championship, the 1951 league championship, and the 1999 Super Bowl league championship; It is not referring to the NFC conferences titles. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:LA Rams logo.gif

Image:LA Rams logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
